The Blackberry PDA – It a good brand definitely.

Developed by a company called Research in Motion (RIM), a well-known telecom company based in Canada, Blackberry is a wireless handheld computer first introduced in 1999. It supports post e-mail, SMS text messaging, mobile telephony, Internet faxing, browsing the net, and other services involving wireless information.
Blackberry has first become popular when they used email as their unique selling point at that time. The original device had a black-and-white display, but now all the new ones, come with color displays. The Blackberry PDA includes all the normal PC applications such as the address book, a calendar, but to do list, and telephony but its real strength lies in its ability to receive and send e-mail from wherever it can log on to a compatible wireless network. It has inbuilt keyboard which has been optimized to use only thumbs to type. There is a track wheel it makes it very easy to navigate the controls of the PDA. Some models also have an added feature of having a two-way radio. Other models also have Wi-Fi compatibility.
It is interesting to note that modern Blackberry PDA's use a ARM processing system, and together with the Blackberry enterprise server can fully integrate into a company system. As of now, there are more than 8 million Blackberry subscribers in the world today. RIM uses their own special to try trade technology and has their own operating system for the Blackberry. This is a very highly advanced PDA operating system which allows you to access and integrate with office systems such as Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, and others. Only software, which is digitally signed, can be incorporated as third-party software for the Blackberry PDA. This fact guarantees that the software you are installing on your Blackberry PDA is genuine. However it does not guarantee security of the code, or the quality of the software.
The connectivity of the Blackberry enterprise server and mobile data service infrastructure which is push-based in nature, are perhaps the most valuable selling points of the product. Using this technology, companies can use different devices on different telecom carriers, and connect them all together as an integrated cellular network. This enables all the devices to communicate with each other seamlessly.
Telecom companies offering Blackberry functionality generally offer a flat monthly fee for data transfer between Blackberry units and its software system.
